A Conversation Changes What You Thought You Knew
The second sign is an exchange that challenges an assumption you have carried for too long. Someone may explain why they made a confusing choice, share information you were never given, or offer a perspective that changes how you see an old conflict.
You tend to value honesty, yet you can lose patience when people take too long to say what they mean. Because of that, you may have formed your own explanation and moved forward without waiting for theirs. The truth that emerges now could be very different from the story you created.
This does not mean you must excuse behavior that hurt you. New information adds context, but it does not erase consequences. Still, understanding what really happened may help you release unnecessary anger or reconsider a connection that ended because of poor communication rather than a lack of care.
The same sign could appear professionally. A manager, colleague, or potential collaborator might reveal plans that affect your future. Listen closely, especially if the conversation begins casually. One sentence could expose an opportunity, upcoming change, or valuable connection. Ask follow-up questions instead of assuming you already understand where the discussion is going.
