4. The User Who Only Appears When They Need Something
Leos have generous hearts. They enjoy helping friends, supporting family members, and making people feel valued. Whether it’s offering advice, sharing opportunities, or simply being available during difficult moments, Leo often gives without expecting anything in return.
Unfortunately, this generosity sometimes attracts people who see Leo as a resource instead of a genuine friend.
The user usually disappears when everything is going well. They rarely check in just to ask how Leo is doing. They miss birthdays, ignore important milestones, and seem unavailable whenever Leo needs support. Then suddenly, they return because they need a favor.
Maybe they need money. Maybe they need professional connections. Maybe they need emotional support after months of silence. Whatever the reason, every conversation somehow circles back to their own needs.
At first, Leo may excuse this behavior. They believe everyone gets busy and that friendships naturally go through different seasons. Because they value loyalty, they often continue giving long after the relationship has become one-sided.
Eventually, however, the pattern becomes impossible to ignore. Leo realizes they are always the one investing time, energy, and effort while receiving very little in return.
Healthy relationships involve balance. Both people celebrate each other’s successes, offer support during difficult moments, and make an effort to stay connected even when they don’t need anything.
Learning to recognize users allows Leo to focus their generosity on people who truly value it. Saying no to someone who constantly takes without giving back isn’t cruel. It’s an act of self-respect.
