Loyalty Based on History
Cancer places enormous value on shared history, especially when someone has been part of their life for years. They may continue protecting an old friendship or relationship because leaving feels like erasing everything they experienced together. However, time does not automatically make a connection healthy. Some people remain in Cancer’s life simply because Cancer has not yet accepted how much they have changed.
The length of a relationship should never matter more than the way Cancer feels inside it today. Memories can be meaningful without becoming a reason to tolerate neglect, manipulation, or disrespect. Cancer must judge people by their present behavior rather than an older version of the bond. History deserves appreciation, but it does not guarantee permanent access.
