Protection From Consequences
Scorpio fiercely protects the people they love and rarely exposes their weaknesses to others. They may defend someone publicly, handle the problem privately, and keep damaging details hidden. The wrong people can become comfortable with this protection because they know Scorpio will preserve their reputation. As a result, they never face enough pressure to change their behavior.
Loyalty should not require Scorpio to hide another person’s repeated dishonesty or irresponsibility. Protecting someone from every consequence can unintentionally support the pattern causing the problem. Scorpio should allow people to take responsibility for the situations they create. A person who truly values their loyalty will not constantly place them in a position where it must be tested.
