2. The Constant Critic
Cancer may appear emotionally strong on the outside, but harsh criticism often stays with them much longer than people realize. They reflect deeply on words, especially when those words come from someone they trust.
The constant critic rarely offers encouragement. Instead, they point out every mistake, compare Cancer to others, or make subtle comments that slowly damage confidence. Nothing Cancer does ever seems good enough.
Because Cancer genuinely wants to improve and make others happy, they may spend years trying to earn approval that never comes. Unfortunately, some people intentionally keep moving the goalposts because criticism gives them a sense of control.
This type of relationship slowly chips away at Cancer’s self-esteem. Instead of celebrating successes, Cancer begins focusing only on perceived failures. Cancer deserves people who inspire growth while also recognizing their strengths. Anyone who constantly tears them down instead of lifting them up is someone they should avoid.
